In Chris Kapilla’s play Resistance is Futile the babble of talking bots becomes deafening when Dave upgrades his Alexa. “Hey Siri, find me a… whatever” becomes a cri de coeur as he learns the importance of keeping on the good side of Mr Bezos. Catherine Bryne and Peggy Powell illuminate the cast.
Libraries bring a sense of cerebral calm to our lives, don’t they? Can a nosey stranger fix things? Or are they all headed for disaster? Peggy Powell and Jim Newell live the dream in The Big Bite.
