Yes, there will always be plenty of new dining places in San Miguel, and also, thanks to its diversity, finding cuisine from all over the world is not difficult. However, there are some places that simply prevail over time thanks to the tradition they keep. Perhaps your grandmother’s grandmother is already eating there. Such is the case with El Cedro, which is located on the Salida Real a Querétaro at the entrance to the Valle del Maíz neighborhood.
On weekend afternoons, if you feel like eating something different or simply forgetting to cook for a day, El Cedro opens its doors at around 1pm. There, you can find all kinds of choices on the menu like a simple dish of milanesa, rice, salad, and tortillas, or a traditional pambazo which is a bread roll dipped and fried in a guajillo chile sauce and filled with potatoes and chorizo, or enchiladas with their typical potatoes and carrots.
Thanks to the green light level we are now in, you can eat at the restaurant if you wish, or you can place your order to go and share the food in the comfort of your home. If you were looking to try some delicious, traditional food this weekend, El Cedro might be the place. Enjoy!
