Sindashi is a boutique in Centro which can be found at Hernández Macías 83A. Their slogan, «Art made fashion,” will give you an idea of what their designs and creations are like; it has become a trend to wear famous works of art translated into clothes, makeup, etc.
However, Sindashi goes one step further, and we can say that its offerings not only draw upon recognizable works of art, but also symbols, characters from prehistory, moments from history and, as incredible as it sounds, the clothes tell stories!
In the boutique you can find dresses painted and embroidered by hand by Mexican artisans featuring characters such as Quetzalcóatl, who has a whole line, «Quetzalcóatl Dynasty Sindashi Collection,” or animals that symbolize something in ancient cultures such as the jaguar or the hummingbird. You can even identify elements in each garment that help you understand a legend, such as «Flor y Canto,” from the Toltec ideology.
It’s hard to express in words, but you can see for yourself when you visit the store, daily from 11am to 8pm, and delight your eyes with the unique pieces you will find. In addition, buying clothes in Sindashi gives support to local businesses and artisans from San Miguel and surrounding communities; this work from San Miguel for the world is extraordinary.
