The El Aleph Art and Science Festival will take place in León and San Miguel de Allende, from May 19 to 29, 2022, and will have special programming in both cities thanks to the link with the National School of Higher Studies, Unit León, and its San Miguel Extension Unit.
The Aleph is a festival organized by the Coordination of Cultural Dissemination of the UNAM where the borders between art and science are broken. Fusion that is manifested through talks, workshops, theater, music, dance, and film performances, in which leading international scientists and artists surprise and enrich the gaze of the attendees.
This year, El Aleph will be held in a hybrid format, with free face-to-face and virtual activities. The activities that will take place in the cities of León and San Miguel with the collaboration of the Guanajuato Cultural Forum, the Santa Ana Theater, and the San Miguel Public Library include a talk about opera with Gerardo Kleinburg, music critic and popularizer operatic in national and international media; a recital by guitarist Pablo Gómez, and a conversation titled “Environmental Impact Post-COVID-19, Interdisciplinary Perspectives” with the participation of Dr. Concepción Arenas Arrocena, Dr. Claudia Chibici-Revneanu, Dr. Jairo Agustín Reyes Platas, and Mtra.
