Last Thursday, September 1, at the Teatro Santa Ana of the Public Library, I had the opportunity to attend the presentation of the book «Of All The Towns In All The World… Why they come to San Miguel de Allende», written by editor and journalist Natalie Taylor.
It is certainly an interesting question. Why San Miguel and what is it about the city that makes visitors fall in love with it to such a degree that they change their residence? For me it is an easy question to answer since I am a native of this beautiful city and I love it with all my being. But I have always found it interesting to know the reasons why foreigners fell in love with this magical place.
Natalie’s book gives us the opportunity to discover the stories of different residents who decided to start a new life in San Miguel and explains what brought them here and what their life is like now. The author said in her presentation that, for many people, coming to San Miguel represents a second chance to live and to do what they are most passionate about.
You can find her book at the Tesoros shop in the Biblioteca Pública. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to La Biblioteca Pública de San Miguel de Allende, A.C.
If you are an adopted resident of San Miguel, tell us why you decided to live in this city and what you like most about it.
