In early September the SPA (Sociedad Protectora de Animales) brought in four more dogs from canine control, the city’s kill shelter. We are so pleased that we could save them. They are now ready for adoption.
We have named them Annie, Canela, Clara, and Charlie. The three girls are small/medium-sized, friendly, very sweet, affectionate dogs. Equally friendly, sweet, and affectionate, Charlie is a medium-sized, handsome boy who likes to give hugs. They all get along with other dogs and people and would make wonderful pets. All four relish being petted and getting personal attention. All are 1 year old except for Annie, who is 2 years old.
Clara and Canela have very animated personalities. They are outgoing and playful. Canela gets very excited about going for a walk and does well on a leash. Clara is not as enthusiastic and prefers the safety of the SPA. Annie is calmer but also a little bit afraid of going out on a walk. Clara and Annie overcome their fear quickly when they see that no cars are going to whiz by on the street. Annie loves to crawl in your lap for some petting. Charlie is a quiet, easy dog. He likes to go for a walk and doesn’t pull.
If you are looking to add to your family, please come to the SPA and meet these dogs and others, as well as our cats. When you adopt one of our shelter residents, you are not only giving that animal a chance at a new life, you are making space at the SPA so that we can save other cats and dogs.
Our adoption hours are Monday-Saturday, 11-2, Los Pinos 7, 415 152 6124 (masks required). Our available dogs are here: https://www.spasanmiguel.org/adopt-me-dogs/.
