While weight-lifting has its place for toning and building muscle, more and more of San Miguel´s visitors and residents are opting for alternatives or supplemental groups and/or private classes to improve their health. In modern culture, many of us who provide alternative medicine, therapies, PT, complimentary care, and/or classes of all types are getting wonderful results for our clients! For example, I have a private gym with an array of classes for healthy, fit, people, as well as for people with health issues ranging from simple arthritis to major health concerns. I have the experience and the ability to help most people improve physical mobility and incorporate health benefits into their daily lives.
Through my office, I have agreements with many doctors to help their patients with chiropractic, acupuncture, natural medicine, and classes for yin yoga, chair yoga (great for those with limited mobility), water workouts, shadow boxing, contact boxing, women’s and girls’ self-defense, belly dancing, and much more. In our private facility, we also offer a hot jacuzzi, heated pool, steam room, and quiet places to rest in the cabanas. The prices are reasonable with either a membership or for individual classes.
I believe it is important for everyone in the community to be included in a social group with some form of physical activity, no matter their physical limitations. It stimulates the mind and body, relieves stress, and supports wonderful emotional benefits! I encourage anyone interested in anything from high-functioning athletic options to options for those with limited mobility to contact me for information on these amazing classes. My office in La Joya, in conjunction with the therapies I can provide in a group setting without it feeling like PT or rehab, is a great part of this new modern-day philosophy of complimentary health care. I love what I do, and you can see the comments I have received from some of the amazing people of our community here in San Miguel on FaceBook: Marie Angel.
I am trying to provide fun, always-changing classes while making it affordable for people on a limited income. I want to be sure no one is excluded. The water workouts are for men and women and cost only 150 pesos. These are very helpful for people who may need non-impact workouts due to hip, low back, foot, or ankle issues, arthritis, or any other functional issues. The saunas are also the best therapies I have found to control the arthritis in my neck for the upcoming winter season. Ahhhhh, blessed heat therapy in a beautiful quiet setting is exactly what the doctor ordered!
I warmly welcome any new or current patients/clients to inquire about whatever has piqued your interest in this article. I would like to show you, personally, the amazing private facility that is available to our future clients. All classes are by reservation only and are in small groups or one-on-one. Nutrition and personal or group training is also an avenue that has grown for me lately as well as the La Joya office. I am here to serve you as a community, and I am looking forward to answering any questions you may have. I have clinical nutrition, neurology, PT, and clinical rehab experience, as well as training through Palmer Chiropractic College. I also have many other specialties that may help in conjunction with the care you are receiving currently.
Making an impact in the community with support and great contributions is a passion for me! I would like to help in any way possible. Please reach out to me personally. I would love to work with any current doctor. Marie Oliveras, DC, ACU, NP, N.R.C.P.T., La Joya Hospital, 415 197 6086.
