Just as in 2022, the property tax payment for 2023 will not increase in San Miguel de Allende. Mayor Mauricio Trejo posted this statement on official social networks. The legislation, called the Income Law 2023 for the Municipality of San Miguel de Allende, was approved by the Congress of the State of Guanajuato. The mayor also noted that the new legislation ensures that San Miguel will pay less than any other Guanajuato community. He further stated: “For the second year in a row, the property tax has not gone up. If not for the intervention of my administration, property taxes would be up by 11%. I hope this effort, which logically belongs to everyone, will financially help our citizens, and we can have a fairer San Miguel de Allende for all San Miguel families.”
