The year 2022 was envisioned as the year of exit from the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the economic crisis that came with it, but then the war between Ukraine and Russia broke out, a conflict that we have to look at from different points of view. It is a multidimensional war, where the world is fighting several battles (hybrid war)—energy, economic, media, political, and geographic. As a consequence, the economic recovery for 2023 and the fight against climate change will probably fall short. Fortunately, 2022 closes with schools, stadiums, parks, streets, and public spaces full of people enjoying and celebrating life.
The following is a month-by-month account of the year’s highlights:
January
The fourth wave of COVID-19 begins in Mexico.
February

March
Inauguration of Felipe Angeles Airport
April
Electricity reform is rejected.
May
Artificial intelligence is implemented, even in photos.
June
The left wins for the first time in Colombia.
July

August

September
