Dani Alves is out of Pumas
The 15th Court of Instruction of Barcelona sent Brazilian soccer player Dani Alves to provisional prison without bail for an alleged sexual assault on a young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona. The events took place on the night of December 30, 2022, at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona, where Alves allegedly sexually assaulted the 23-year-old girl.
If convicted, the soccer player could spend up to 12 years in prison for sexual abuse.
Due to this situation that the Brazilian player is going through, Pumas de la UNAM announced the departure of Alves from the team. It was Leopoldo Silva, president of Pumas, who confirmed Alves’ departure during a press conference, where he announced the termination of his contract.
Alves played in the match against Juárez FC, in round 1 of Liga MX; in round 2 against Santos, he had no action; and, starting round 3, the scandal occurred, as a result of which he was terminated from Pumas.

Brandon Moreno, UFC world champion
Mexican mixed martial arts fighter Brandon Moreno was proclaimed UFC flyweight champion in Brazil after defeating Brazilian fighter Deiveson Figuereido by technical knockout to close the first Tetralogy in UFC history.
Moreno suffered in the first two rounds against the attack of the host Figuereido; however, he managed to keep the fight on his side, and it was during the third round, where the Mexican connected a «southpaw» straight to the Brazilian’s eye, which caused a cut.
With that blow, Figuereido’s eye was completely closed, and the official doctor of the fight determined that he could not continue the fight. Figuereido did not leave his corner for the fourth round, and Brandon Moreno got the victory and was consecrated as world flyweight champion.
The story of the Tijuana native is to be admired; he is an exemplary athlete and once again puts Mexico at the top.

Messi vs. Cristiano: «The last dance»
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, considered the two best players of the last two decades, faced each other again on the field and opened yet another chapter in the history of this great rivalry. It was in the friendly match between the Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal star team and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in Saudi Arabia.
PSG played with their top stars such as Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, and Ramos, among others, while the Arab team had Ronaldo as its top star, which created high expectations in the Middle East.
As expected, Ronaldo and Messi were the protagonists on the field. Messi opened the scoring in the 3rd minute to give the French team a minimal lead. Ronaldo tied the match from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute. Marquinhos put PSG ahead again at minute 42, and Ronaldo appeared again at minute 45+6 to tie the match before the break and seal his brace in the first half.
In the second half, Sergio Ramos appeared at minute 53 to make it 3-2, but at minute 56 the Korean Jan Hyun-soo appeared to tie the match. In the 59th minute, Mbappe scored from the penalty spot to put the Parisian team ahead once again. Ekitike, PSG’s new star, made it 5-3 for the French team in the 76th minute. And it was in the 90+1 that Talisca scored the fourth for the Arab team.
The match ended 5-4 in favor of Paris Saint Germain, and we saw «CR7» and Messi sharing the field once again.
Chivas breaks borders once again
Club Deportivo Guadalajara, better known as «Chivas,» was part of Paris Fashion Week 2023, thanks to Mexican designer, Antonio Zaragoza. Zaragoza became the first Mexican designer to participate in the Paris Fashion Week. He presented his collection with designs from Mexico’s most popular soccer team for the spring-summer season. The designer presented the «Liberal Youth Ministry» clothing collection, which includes the «rebaño sagrado» crest and its traditional colors (red, white, and blue).
Club Deportivo Guadalajara congratulated and thanked the Mexican designer for having included the team’s colors and crest to represent Mexico for the first time in such an event.
It is worth mentioning that Paris Fashion Week is one of the most important and prestigious fashion events in the world.
