Who doesn’t love an event celebrating shoes and awe-inspiring women? This International Women’s Day, join Mujeres en Cambio to do just that. Plus, enjoy the stunning surroundings of La Mansion de Montitlan, delectable food, and the soulful sounds of Lady Zen—all while helping girls stay in school.
After a champagne reception, you’ll enjoy an exquisite luncheon with wines created by Gayle Paulson of La Mansion de Montitlan. Next, Paulina Gallardo who has taken the helm of the family business, San Miguel Shoes, is sure to inspire with her talk, “Walking These San Miguel Streets in My Mother’s Shoes.” Many of you remember her gracious mother, Martha, who warmly welcomed customers into her San Miguel Shoes store on Relox. The luncheon will feature a raffle with affordable tickets and exciting prizes including a San Miguel Shoes gift basket.
All guests are invited to make a 500 peso donation in honor of a special woman who has impacted their journey. The names of all honorees will be commemorated in the event’s program.
Mujeres en Cambio provides scholarships—from 8th grade through university—to girls from villages around San Miguel who face many barriers to staying in school. Educating girls makes a whole country’s future brighter! Help us help our community by joining us this International Women’s Day!
