Is the U.S. Fed Preparing for a Recession?
Jerome Powell, chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve, and his colleagues have recently published an economic report. They foresee a sharp drop in activity in the economy until the end of 2023. The data now indicates that policymakers expect the United States to post a 0.4% expansion in 2023. This is down from the 0.5% growth rate they had predicted in December. The Largest Fair in Mexico
The announcement of the fair was held at the Soumaya Museum in Mexico City. The government of the State of Aguascalientes and the board of trustees of the San Marcos National Fair announced that it will take place from April 14 to May 7. According to the INEGI and the Universidad Panamericana, the event drew 9,000,000 visitors in 2022, with an economic benefit of 8 billion pesos. The governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, expressed that «Aguascalientes dresses up when it comes to the giant national fair of San Marcos, a friend of culture that celebrates its 195 years, which on this occasion will have the presence of Spain and Guanajuato.”
Cuna de Tierra: The Most Awarded Wine in Mexico
Cuna de Tierra was the most awarded wine from Mexico at the Bordeaux Citadelles Du Vin International Competition. Here, 35 international specialists blindly evaluated more than 1,000 wine samples from around the world, under the close supervision and sponsorship of the International Wine Organization. They awarded five medals to Mexican wines, of which three were delivered to Cuna de Tierra—two (unique) Grand Gold and one Gold for their wines Cuna de Tierra Cabernet Sauvignon, Cuna de Tierra Nebbiolo, and Tierra de Angeles Nebbiolo, respectively. Cradle of Tierra Cabernet Sauvignon, in addition to the Grand Gold, was awarded the special «Vino varietal Cabernet Sauvignon» awards by the Kedge Wine School.
San Miguel de Allende Will Host Beyond Water 2023
Beyond Water is an international event that seeks to highlight water sustainability. “Startup Fund:” Financing for Guanajuato Enterprises
The government of Guanajuato is making visits and presentations to publicize the «Startup Funds» program. This is about financing for entrepreneurs from 18 to 65 years of age who have developed their business plan with the support of project incubators or accelerators. Science Week at Fuego Nuevo School
More than 1,000 students of the Fuego Nuevo secondary school were part of their first Science Week in the context of World Water Day. There were lectures by special guests and technological and artistic exhibitions by the students themselves. Luis Bárcenas, director of the school, explained their different educational approach. The teachers of each subject teach the students a transversal approach with science, technology, art, and care for the environment.
