General Motors Unveils Three New Electric Cars in Mexico as Part of Global Electrification Strategy

Investment, Construction, and Economic Development

During the first months of 2023, private investment in the construction industry in Mexico closed at 57.9%, against the 42.1% that reflected the works financed with government money. The creation of industrial, commercial, and service buildings was the item with the greatest demand in the building category. This was followed by housing and schools, which together account for 67.3% of the total constructions where private investment was made.

Transportation and urbanization that includes highways, roads, bridges, airports, railway works, maritime, and rainwater infrastructure, also stood out, as well as the construction of buildings, assembly, masonry work, finishes, and other auxiliaries. Data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) indicate that, with public resources, the highest investment in January 2023 was related to oil and petrochemicals, as well as transportation and urbanization. Brightpick and the Mobile Order Picking Robot

By Eaton

Brightpick introduced its new product, Brightpick Autopicker. It is the first autonomous mobile picking robot for e-commerce and filling grocery orders. Brightpick Autopicker is the only warehouse robot capable of picking and consolidating orders in the aisles. Like a human with a cart, Brightpick Autopickers move through the warehouse, retrieving product storage bins from shelves and robotically picking items from those bins to consolidate orders directly.  The fully autonomous end-to-end robotic solution takes less than a month to deploy. It enables warehouses to reduce their picking labor by 95% and cuts order fulfillment costs in half. A typical Brightpick Autopicker fleet in a warehouse consists of 15 to 100 robots. Brightpick Intuition software orchestrates and streamlines the entire fleet and fulfillment process.

Brightpick Autopicker was designed specifically for grocery stores and e-commerce, and is suitable for large, small, and micro distribution centers. It can reliably pick up groceries, cosmetics, personal care products, electronics, pharmaceuticals, clothing, and more with 99.9% accuracy.
