Among the things that people love about San Miguel de Allende are the views of the domes, the surrounding landscapes, and colorful streets. And that is precisely one of the things that Casa Rosada offers. The boutique hotel is located on Calle Cuna de Allende 12, just minutes from the Parroquia; in fact it is attached to the back of it. «From the garden between the rooms you can see the three domes» says Daniel Salazar, chef of the restaurant.
The hotel has 16 rooms of which three are master suites, three are junior suites and 10 are standard. One of the main rooms has the bedroom that belonged to Guadalupe Rivera de Marín, daughter of the famous painter Don Diego Rivera. Daniel says that she owned the property and during the time that it was her home, she helped to keep it in good condition, taking care of the necessary maintenance. In 2002, the building became a hotel.
It is important to mention that Casa Rosada acquired its name in the twentieth century, most likely because of the wall color. The building is a colonial construction dating back to 1729 and has been kept its original state, including the wall colors. Some antique furniture, dating back to those times, is still part of the house as well. The construction is one of the oldest in the city, and it adjoins the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.
Casa Rosada has a restaurant, parking, wireless internet, and other amenities to make your experience in San Miguel exceptional. Salazar also tells us that the Jacuzzi is undergoing renovations at present. All of this is with the intention of offering the best services to its customers and the hotel is thereby adapting its facilities to follow the recommendations of health authorities regarding contingency measures.
