On Monday, October 18, there was a celebration in the patio of the Biblioteca Pública of San Miguel de Allende. Collaborators, members of the team of the Biblioteca, and of the newspaper Atención San Miguel; friends and acquaintances of Ali Zerrifi, came together to honor his 20 years of work as a volunteer. During the event, the assistants enjoyed a toast of honor, appetizers, and live music. An homage to the works done by Ali included videos where thanks were expressed, as well the affection and friendship that arose during the two decades of giving and working with the team. A plaque was also placed with engravings of the name and works of Ali as part of the team, so all San Miguel residents might be aware of his endeavors for the Biblioteca and the newspaper Atención San Miguel.
