Several centuries ago, the House of the Inquisitor was built in 1780 on Cuadrante Street. The house is an example of the majestic architecture found throughout the city.
Its elegant façade and the style of construction stand out and are the works of San Miguel stonemasons like Estanislao Hernández, a master stonemason who lived in the Valle del Maíz neighborhood.
In honor of this type of construction and the traditional style of the houses in San Miguel, as well as the decoration with handicrafts and pieces of art made by Mexican hands, the new La Casa del Inquisidor emerges. It is located on Aldama 1,centro, is a business that seeks to highlight the work of local artisans and encourage them to create unique designs with Mexican style. It is also one of the largest distributors of handicrafts to different parts of the city and the country.
Martha Grifé Alonso, is in charge of the store. She explains how the interior design services, home accessories, decoration, and other sundry accessories can give you the home you imagine.
Photos are constantly shared on her social networks, providing examples of crafts and furniture, which you can see on Facebook as Casa del Inquisidor and Instagram as @casadelinquisidorsma
