Committed to supporting and promoting Mexican cinema, the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) announces the Mexican films that will be part of its diverse program as part of this year’s Official Selection. The XXV edition of the Guanajuato film festival will take place from July 21 to 31 in León, San Miguel de Allende and Irapuato, offering feature and short films, including fiction, documentaries, animation, experimental and virtual reality. With a program ideal for all tastes, the festival showcases the great variety of talent that currently exists in the national film industry. A total of 57 Mexican titles will be screened, including 15 feature films and 42 short films.
The national competition is made up of an outstanding mix of films that represent the Mexican cinema of the moment. These films tell stories that reflect the diversity of points of view offered by Mexican filmmakers. Ten feature films and 21 short films will be screened in the Mexico Official Selection and 13 titles in the Guanajuato Official Selection.
