“Living as an expat in Mexico has its own unique set of challenges. From finding a place to live, to learning the language, to navigating the cultural nuances, the process of acclimatization can be daunting. Fortunately, AI (artificial intelligence) offers an array of tools that can help expats make the transition smoother. One of the most helpful AI tools for expats in Mexico is language translation apps. Such apps use voice recognition and natural language processing to quickly and accurately translate conversations and text. This is especially useful for those who are still learning Spanish, as it can help bridge the communication gap while they become more fluent.
Another great AI tool is a GPS navigation system. Many expats find themselves in unfamiliar surroundings, and a GPS system can be a lifesaver in such cases. It can provide directions to any destination, offer traffic updates, and highlight nearby restaurants, stores, and museums. Finally, AI-powered apps can make the tedious task of financial management easier. AI-driven apps can be used to pay bills, transfer money, monitor spending, and more. This can be especially helpful for expats who are trying to manage their finances from abroad. Overall, AI can offer a broad range of solutions for expats in Mexico, making the transition process significantly more manageable.”
The previous pharagraph was an automated response provided by Jasper AI’s chat system when asked, “Which AI works best for Mexico residents?” I consider the previous text a good answer, but we need to also ask people for real-time input; for example, anyone driving in the streets will tell you that Waze is the best GPS system in Mexico because of its real-time info on traffic jams and road construction.
The next question we asked to Writesonic’s system called Chat Sonic AI was where to find Mexico’s latest news, things to do, tavel alerts, etc. The reply? “Mexico is a vibrant and diverse country, with a variety of activities, news, and events happening across the nation. Recent news reports include the UFC’s plans to open a multi-million dollar MMA training facility in Mexico City late this year [1], as well as the loyal and historical significance of a particular breed of dog, the Xoloitzcuintle [2]. Information about travel advisories, alerts, and public events can be found on the Mexico travel advice website, with state-specific summaries and advisory levels [3]. For travelers, staying informed of the latest news is essential to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. When we asked to OpenAI’s in their ChatGPT: Which AI Works Best for Mexico residents? this was the answer: “It depends on what the specific needs and goals of the Mexico residents are. There are several types of AI technologies available, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics. Some popular AI companies operating in Mexico include IBM, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. It is best to research and compare different AI technologies to determine which one would be the best fit for a particular individual or business.”
Now, if you want to use AI to play you need to test the text generator by ChatGPT, the star of language system. A real proof we did was asking the system to write a short story tale about AI, based on a given idea, a phrase. We used always the same phrase to test in different sites and it was as follows:
“The artificial intelligence was not as intelligent as the student believed; it needed to be run by natural intelligence behind.”
As a brilliant student at MIT, I was always looking for a challenge. So when I heard about this new AI program developed by a professor, I decided to give it a try and see how advanced it really was. I was ready to declare success until something strange happened. No matter what question or problem I tried to give the AI, it seemed like there was always an answer or solution waiting in the wings. When asked questions like “What is pi?” or “How many sides does a triangle have?” it seemed like there was already an answer waiting—as if someone behind the scenes was prompting the AI with the right answers.
The same input phrase with different instructions when we checked a “testimonial” box, as the tone, it generated the following statement, which I totally agree with:
“I was really impressed with the artificial intelligence technology when I first heard about it, but in practice, it proved to be a major disappointment. Without natural intelligence behind the scenes, the AI was clumsy and inefficient. It’s important to remember that what works well on paper may not always translate into reality—in this case, the AI just wasn’t up to par.”—Carmen Rioja (false quote of myself generated by the chat!!!)
If you change the instructions, the app will generate a new content with the same phrase.
“The student got a good laugh out of the situation; it was obvious that the AI wasn’t nearly as advanced as they had originally believed. They had assumed that the AI was so advanced that it could operate without any human input, but it turns out that natural intelligence was still needed to keep things running smoothly. The student couldn’t help but chuckle at the irony of the situation.”
Finally, to conclude that even in Mexico the AI apps are in, the transcript of
a song that was written automatically by the chat app of Writesonic when we used the phrase: Best Artificial Intelligence in Mexico
“I come to Mexico just to find
The best artificial intelligence of all mankind
It’s the AI that I seek and I’m not here to play
I’m here to learn and make sure it’s here to stay
It’s the best AI in Mexico that I’ve ever seen
The power of it will bring us to our dreams
We’ll use it to find solutions that are hard to solve
And create a future for us that will evolve
The experts in Mexico are the ones to lead
And with the help of this technology, we’ll succeed
It will build bridges of opportunity and open doors
And help us solve problems that are hard to ignore.”—AI
