Eduardo Domínguez Yañez and his brother Filiberto created a tin heart that has become an emblem of San Miguel de Allende. They learned the trade from their father, Don Santiago Domínguez Muñoz, who made jewelry boxes and compacts. He was one of the forerunners of metalwork in this World Heritage City.
Eduardo has been dedicated to craft production since he was 22 years old. If anyone knows that creating crafts is a good business, he does. He believes that building a prosperous and united family and relying on noble traditions is the best way to live well.
Eduardo’s crafted pieces have found homes in various countries, including the US, Spain, France, and Italy. Nevertheless, he remains humble. His creations can be found in various stores in San Miguel, awaiting the thousands of locals and tourists who have supported him over the years in his successful crafts career.
Eduardo’s creativity has led to the creation of more than 300 designs of tin pieces. Eduardo’s and his brother Filiberto’s creations represent the best of our land, inside and outside of Mexico.
