A day out in nature

By Fernanda Noriega

One of the wonders around San Miguel is abundant nature. You find it in ecological preserves, in parks, gardens, ranchos, and farms, all of which are open to those who love to connect with the outdoors.

These places are very special; when you visit them, you can admire the beauty, the pure air, and nature. Many who live on ranchos and farms have become accustomed to welcoming tourists, and offer fine gastronomy in addition to access to the sights.

You can enjoy an entire day with these people, and learn about their daily lives. In this edition of San Miguel by the Numbers we provide a list of some of these special places. They are important for San Miguel as a world heritage site, and can be found inside the city and on the outskirts.

Do not hesitate to hop into your vehicle for an outdoor adventure or contract your favorite travel provider to take you to Cañada de La Virgen, Charco del Ingenio, Parque Juárez, The Mayan Baths, Valle de los Senderos, Guadiana Park, Rancho el Xotolar, Rancho las Sabinas, and Granja las Ánimas.
