Twelve Non-Profit organizations in the State of Guanajuato have joined forces to launch another fund raising event: “Concert with a Cause” where Mexican tenor Ezequiel Ojeda will be presenting selections of his latest CD, “Mi Amor por Ti,” which will be available for purchase at the concert. His extensive repertoire features a wide range of music including traditional Mexican, bolero, tango, pop, opera, etc. He has studied in master classes with important singers including baritone Antonio González, tenor Jorge López Yáñex, baritone Oziel Garza among others. Mr. Ojeda has also competted in Concursos in Madrid, Bilbao, Tijuana, Guanajuato, etc.
The organizations that will benefit from this concert are: Centro Psicoeducativo Maktub, A.C. (intellectual disabilities); Clínica Mexicana de Autismo–CLIMA (neurodevelopmental disorders- especially autism); Fundación de la Cabeza al Cielo (little people); Instituto Irapuatense Down, A.C. (down syndrome); Centro Humanitario Caminaremos Juntos, A.C. (immigrants); Cale Misol (intellectual disabilities); Asociación de Familiares y Amigos de Pacientes Esquizofrénicos de León, A.C. –AFAPE (mental illnesses); Asociación de Sordos Impulsores de Salamanca, A.C. (hearing impaired); Centro Psicopedagógico de Ciegos- CYDEVI (visually impaired); Instituto Pedagógico de León-IPLAC (intellectual disabilities); Construyendo Igualdad por Silao (vulnerable women); and Niños con Autismo de San Miguel de Allende, A.C. (autism).
The donation to acquire tickets for the live concert is 1,000 pesos which includes a glass of wine and appetizers. If you cannot attend, you can enjoy limited time access to a recorded video of the concert for 200 pesos. Tickets are available at the reception of Keller Williams Allende realty located at Mesones 57, Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.
