This Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 an anti-cruelty to animals event, called La Romeria, will take place. You will have an opportunity to be part of various activities, all of them favoring animal protection. The event will take place at Quinta las Jacarandas, in San José de la Amistad. Here you can find an agro-ecological market organized by Paolo Aguilar and Mariana Chiquito, as well as various workshops, including one focused on reforestation. Another, led by Paolo Aguilar will allow children and their parents will share a family moment drawing opossums, a Mexican species of marsupial in danger of extinction.

To dialogue on the subject, Manuel Vázquez Picudo presents a talk on conscious eating and one more on interior decoration with Jessica Martell. During the event you will be able to enjoy a musical presentation by La Terrorista del Sabor and Devu musicians from Colombia and Italy respectively. Also joining the cause are some national and international brands such as Luz de Luna jewelers, Ilse LP’s Secondhand Clothing, hand embroideries by artisans from San Miguel and the special participation of Blabala Rodríguez with a graphic work of serigraphy and sculptures. The youngest exhibitor in this edition of La Romería is 5 years old, his name is Julian Ju and he will present his work to cover school expenses, in addition to joining the Cruelty Free cause. The organizers, Mariana Chiquito and Mariann Garcés Torres, explain that starting in January the Romería will take place on a monthly basis, this being the first edition of many.
