Little Cuties at the SPA

By Megan Gabel

We have three little cuties available for adoption at the SPA—Poppy, Cookie, and Lilly. Small, adult dogs, they will each make a wonderful addition to any family.

Poppy, about 1-1/2 years old, and Cookie, about 1 year old, are terrier mixes, but with quite different personalities. Cookie is very animated and enthusiastic, a bundle of energy who is thrilled to go for a walk. Poppy is much calmer and more gentle, but she, too, enjoys going for a walk. Both of them are affectionate and loving, but show it in different ways. Poppy will snuggle and get into your lap to be petted. Cookie is too excited to relax and slowly receive and give affection—she just overflows with it.

Lilly, also about 1-1/2 years old, is the sweetest little dog! She loves to cuddle and have her head and body stroked. She closes her eyes and practically nods off. She’s very happy to go on a walk, prancing along as she takes in all the sights. She surprised us by being able to scale gated walls many times her height and even climb over a short concrete wall. She’ll need a very secure environment in her new home.

We’d love for you to meet these adorable girls and all our dogs and cats available for adoption! Our adoption hours are Monday-Friday, 11am-2pm, at Los Pinos 7, 415 152 6124. Masks required. Photos of our dogs are on our website here:  https://www.spasanmiguel.org/adopt-me-dogs Photos of our cats are here:  https://www.spasanmiguel.org/adopt-me-cats Click on the photo of the one who peaks your interest and you will be taken to the next page with a bigger photo, the animal’s bio, and, for dogs, a video too. Please help us provide food for all of our animals by donating to our Pet Food Money Bank, our only major fundraiser of the year. All money raised will be applied to the annual cost of food for our resident and foster cats and dogs which averages a total of 100 animals. For more details, please see https://www.spasanmiguel.org/pet-food-money-bank or write info@spasanmiguel.org We have a long way to go to meet our goal of 250,000 pesos, or about US$13,500.
