Time to celebrate Valentine’s Day! February, the month of love, is here. I guess I am a non-conformist because I celebrate love and gratitude every day. I agree with the actor Randeep Hooda, who said “February days are a marketing gimmick. Love happens every day.” Nevertheless, I will concede that there is no better time than now to fall in love with an S.P.A. cat or two.
Cats show they love you by purring, bunting, or rolling onto their back. Purring can be a sign of love or stress, so you must also look at their body posture and behavior. Bunting is when a cat will rub their cheeks on you or an object in order to leave their scent, marking their territory. Throwing themselves on their back and rolling around is a loving greeting and means they want your attention. Other loving signals are scratching, kneading, and hunting and gifting their prey. I was once given a live mouse and my cat was so proud of her gift.
Be prepared to receive lots of signs of love from Luca and Luke! They are gorgeous twin brothers, all white, with orange tips on their tails and ears, and blue eyes. They came to the S.P.A. with their mother and siblings in July 2022, when they were just two weeks old. They are both very playful and happy. Luca is the lap-sitter of the two. They both like to romp around with each other and with their roommates. We are hopeful they will go home to their forever family soon. They are extremely bonded to each other, so please consider adopting them together and giving them the loving, caring home that they deserve. They are adorable and will surely complement your family with love every day of the year.
