Matching Donation Offer: New donations to the S.P.A. up to a total of $2,500 USD will be matched through December 31! All funds received will benefit our resident cats and dogs as they wait for forever homes. See https://www.spasanmiguel.org/please-help-now or write info@spasanmiguel.org for more information.
Among those who will benefit from your donation are our December Pets of the Month – Clara, Champ, Ginger and Eva. The S.P.A. rescued Clara and Champ from Canine Control, the city’s kill shelter. They are both small to medium sized, love to go for walks on the street, and clearly wish they had homes instead of S.P.A. casitas. Champ, about 3 years old, is an alert, happy, energetic terrier mix. He bounces along the street when he’s on a walk, eager to continue. He is friendly with people and other dogs and is very playful. About 1 year old, Clara is a pretty sweetheart. She relishes attention and would love to be petted for extended periods. It obviously calms her and reassures her that she is safe.
Ginger, about 2-1/2 years old, is happy to spend time with both cats and people. She has found a new love for playing with toys, especially laser lights. She likes to dine in peace and enjoys her treats and special attention. About 3 years old, Eva has an old soul. She enjoys being pampered and having private time with the volunteers, sitting in the sun and contemplating the day while the others play and romp around.
Adopt any of these Pets of the Month during December and receive a free adoption kit. Meet them and all our available cats and dogs at the S.P.A., Los Pinos 7, Monday-Saturday between 11 and 2, 415 152 6124 (masks required). Our adoption fee is 600 pesos. For dogs, it includes sterilization, all current vaccinations, deworming, and the leptospirosis booster. For cats, the fee includes sterilization, all current vaccinations, deworming, and the feline leukemia vaccine and booster. You can preview all our dogs here: https://www.spasanmiguel.org/adopt-me-dogs/ and our cats here: https://www.spasanmiguel.org/adopt-me-cats/ Clicking on the animal’s photo will take you to another page with a bigger photo, a bio, and, for dogs, a video.
