At the Benito Juárez Park there is a space dedicated to pollinating species such as bees and hummingbirds. The pollinating garden is located in the center of the park where the flora includes species such as lavender, rosemary, flowers and even a variety of succulents and cacti. There are also drinking fountains and signs that explain to visitors the importance of the pollinating species for the ecosystem; the names of the plants and under what conditions they survive.
In this issue of San Miguel in numbers, we counted how many different plants there are in the pollinator garden. Among gigantón, trumpetilla, zazálic, five sores, bluebell, huizache, lavender, rosemary, African dew and scare grass, in total 16 different species can be counted with the naked eye in the small garden.
