Doña Allende, located on Mesones almost on the corner of Canal, is a clothing boutique. It seeks to highlight fashion in general, but especially that which is made in Mexico. The designers of the garments and the artisans who make them are all Mexican and they come from states such as Querétaro, Jalisco, Yucatán, and of course Guanajuato.
The physical store is located only in San Miguel de Allende because it is «an international meeting point,» according to Héctor Mendizabal, manager of Doña Allende. However shipments are currently made throughout all of Mexico and the United States. Mendizibal says that the name of the store came about because they wanted to praise the women of San Miguel who dress fashionably. But the garments are made 100 percent by Mexican hands, and that is why customers can appreciate the value of what they are buying in the store.
The boutique opened its doors about a year ago and is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm.
