Hurricane Estelle: the reason for the rains

By Fernanda Noriega

Have you ever wondered what is the reason for these rains? It is because of Hurricane Estelle, whose Saffir-Simpson category is number 1, with wind gusts 50 to 70 km/h, waves of up to 4 meters high on the coasts of 5 states—Baja California Sur, Colima, Sinaloa, Nayarit, and Jalisco. It moves with a speed of 22 km/h.

Due to tropical wave number 13, heavy rains and electric shocks are expected, in addition to strong winds and probable hail.

Guanajuato is among the most affected states. Although Estelle began as a hurricane, it has now decreased to Tropical Rain, and water is a highly valued resource these days.

Take your precautions and do not leave home without an umbrella to avoid getting sick.
