Recently the book «Faunistic Greatness of the Protected Natural Areas of the State of Guanajuato» was launched by the State Government at the León Book Fair. Within the framework of the book and its subject, we wish to talk and promote visits this summer to the National Protected Areas in the state. The state has declared 24 such areas.
France announces the nationalization of electricity industry
The French government undertook a political move by announcing the total nationalization of electrical energy. The Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne, stressed that she wishes to make her country «the first great ecological nation to come out of fossil fuels.» She emphasized that «total control of production and of our energy future» is required. It seems that the debate now will be around the energy sovereignty of nations.
The announced resignation of Boris Johnson
After a chain of scandals, Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has resigned. Meanwhile, the interim Prime Minister must call for elections in the fall. The main contenders have already been named. In these elections we will see names like Ben Wallace, Jeremy Hunt, Liz, Truss, Penny Mordaunt, Tom Tugendhat, and Suella Braverman.
Guanajuato presents Retro Park
Offering an unforgettable experience during the summer season, Parque Guanajuato Bicentenario presents Retro Park. This is a space where the entire family can enjoy activities related to the 80’s. The experience integrates a roller skating rink, a dance video game area, a drive-in movie theater, a soda fountain, and an area of challenges and laughter called Competilandia.
Fourteen years as World Heritage
On July 7, 2008, UNESCO designated two places heres here: the city of San Miguel de Allende and the Santuario de Jesús Nazareno in Atotonilco, 12 kilometers north of San Miguel. Both were considered masterpieces of Baroque art and notable examples of the exchange of human values (Spanish and local).
Le Bélier arrives in San Miguel
Le Bélier, a French company, is a global foundry group specializing in the manufacture of aluminum die-cast components, since 1961. These products offer a reduction of CO2 emissions for the automotive and aeronautical markets, mainly in systems braking, chassis, and structure and air intake with 4.0 technology. Since 2018 many investment projects have been started in Guanajuato; to date there are 90 of them.
