In an exclusive interview, José Alfredo Gutiérrez Falcón told us about a new project he is promoting. Bazar MX is a digital platform designed to solve the primary communication challenges of micro-businesses. Those entrepreneurs who join are offered many benefits, including creation of a micro-website with high-quality content and a WhatsApp button enabling immediate communication with potential clients; creation of social media presence; and live media interviews. All are important to the ability of Mexico’s micro-enterprises to innovate and succeed in today’s digital economy. Today, only 20 percent of these businesses have a computer, and only 18 percent use the internet.
Who benefits?
Those micro-entrepreneurs who are starting new projects will clearly benefit from these services, as will those forced to close businesses because of the pandemic or economic crises caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Amid global inflation caused by these unfortunate events, microenterprises are the most vulnerable, yet they are the backbone of the Mexican economy. These entrepreneurs employ from one to 10 people and represent 94.9 percent of the companies in our country, employing of at least 37 percent of the population and some foreign employment within Mexican territory. Based on the foregoing, supporting microenterprises means helping all of Mexico.
How does it work?
Micro-entrepreneurs who want to join can contact Bazar MX via WhatsApp or through social networks. The project is discussed and a brief explanation of the products or services is requested, as well as photographs and the company’s logo. When Bazar MX has all this information, a content is created and published on the microsite created especially for microenterprise. At the same time, their information is shared on the Bazar MX social networks and an appointment is scheduled for a live interview on the YouTube channel.
How to get support?
The service costs 900 pesos a year for the first 500 micro-enterprises that join this project. Currently, there is a special promotion for the first 10 micro-enterprises that contact Atención, and their microsites will be created for free. If you are a small business with 10 or less employees and wish to participate in this program, contact
A success story
One successful case is that of Angela & Dolores (https://gutierrezfalcon.media/2022/05/15/angela-y-dolores/), a micro-enterprise that “upcycles” waste into article of high value, for example, transforming old jeans into haute couture jackets. With the help of Bazar MX, they have found better options for outsourcing.
It is important to keep in mind that although business profits depend on the buyer, the seller has the potential for the savings and the quality of the product. For this reason, Bazar MX is a comprehensive service that not only helps to find clients, but also searches for the best suppliers.
