Technological Innovation in San Miguel: Some of the Best in the World

By Claudia Castillo Epstein and Carola Rico

Grupo SSC announced its 19th annual conference, “Convergence 2022: Simulation for Innovation.” It will take place from May 24 to 27 at the Sanmiguelense Institute facilities.

For 19 years this has been the most important and influential event in the area of computer design, simulation, and analysis in Mexico and Central America. Every day, companies and leaders are taking bold transformational leaps using simulation to explore new markets. They differentiate themselves from the competition, drive digital transformation, accelerate bringing new products to market, and achieve their strategic goals.

Convergence 2022 brings together major players and leaders from the automotive, aviation, aerospace, and energy sectors, and academic institutions and research centers. They will share their success stories and highlight what is truly possible with determination, inspiration, and confidence. They will bridge the gap between world-changing ideas and reality.

Through the power of shared experiences, attendees will discover how simulation enables the expansion of new markets; how previously unattainable productivity can improve with faster time to market, increase product quality, and achieve of strategic goals.

This year, among the distinguished speakers are Dr. Salvador Landeros, director of the Mexican Space Agency; Giovanni Angelucci, president of Horizontec; Gerardo Muñoz, director of Latin American Sales at Ansys; and Alfredo Garrido, general director of AHGY. Other companies that will be represented include Mabe, Continental, Schneider Electric, UNAM, and CIDESI.

Behind every innovation there is a simulation

Grupo SSC has been representing Ansys—a world leader in engineering simulation in Mexico and Central America for 32 years. If you have ever seen a rocket launch, a plane fly, driven a car, used a computer, a mobile device, crossed a bridge, or bought a product in a supermarket, it is almost certain that Ansys software played a fundamental role in all of these. Ansys solutions help companies transform and innovate through radically better products for their customers, solve the most complex design challenges, and create products limited only by imagination.

Director of Grupo SSC, Juan Carlos Balderas, commented, “Grupo SSC is a 100% Mexican company of engineers, consultants, and pioneers delivering comprehensive simulation-driven engineering and computer design solutions in Mexico through Ansys, the best simulation software in the world. We collaborate with the most innovative organizations to generate experiences based on knowledge. Over 1,000 commercial clients, and more than 200 universities in Mexico and Central America certify the work of Grupo SSC. We are honored to have so many great clients and speakers participating in this event. And we trust that this Congress will provide inspiration and solutions to our attendees.”.
