The King’s Farewell

Swiss tennis player Roger Federer is considered by many to be the best tennis player of all time. He ended his brilliant career after 24 years of professional play at the age of 41. It was at the Laver Cup, played in London, where «His Majesty» Roger Federer decided to play his last match. It was no surprise that the match was against his greatest rival and great friend, Rafael Nadal. This was a sentimental moment, filled with great nostalgia for all tennis lovers who watched the final competitive match of a legend of the sport like Federer.

Federer has played a record 1,750 matches, of which he won 1,251. He earned 103 titles, 20 Grand Slams events, and two Olympic gold medals. He had 310 consecutive weeks as number one in the world and played with an elegance and perfection never achieved by any other tennis player. Federer leaves a legacy as one of the most iconic tennis players of all time, and his rivalry against Rafa Nadal will not soon be forgotten. It was a tearful farewell when they walked off the court together for the last time. Thank you, Roger!

Paola Longoria is the pride of Mexico.

She is an Olympic racquetball player and considered by some to be the best in in the history of the sport. The young woman from San Luis Potosi established a record that seems impossible to beat. She won 152 games in a row and 37 consecutive tournaments. This is a sign of true brilliance.

Her record includes:

-10 gold medals in Central American and Caribbean games

-Nine gold medals in Pan American games

-More than 120 titles as a professional

-Five world championships, achieving the fifth in her homeland of San Luis Potosí in August of this year.

She is currently number one in the world and without a doubt the best Mexican athlete in history.

The best fan in the world

Hector Chavez, known as “El Caramel,” is known as the best fan in the world. His exalted status has been formally recognized by FIFA because of his incredible record of not having missed a single soccer match in 36 years. Chavez, who hails from Chihuahua, wears a black charro hat as he cheers the Mexican national team at every game. His hat is legendary. It is emblazoned with the Mexican flag and is adorned with Chihuahua and Vamos Mexico. He has cheered for the national team in more than 450 matches. He has attended World Cup qualifiers, Copa America, Gold Cup, Confederations Cup and has been present at the World Cup games from Mexico in 1986 and to Russia in 2018. There is no doubt that he will be in Qatar this year to cheer on the “Tri.”

The NFL confirmed that Rihanna will headline the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.

The game will take place on February 12, 2023, at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Super Bowl is well known for extravagant half-time shows, and there was much speculation among fans prior to the announcement. This revelation calls to mind many iconic Super Bowl halftime shows, such as U2 in 2002, the Rolling Stones in 2006, and Prince in 2007. For many, the best half-time show was in 1993 with the «King of Pop,» Michael Jackson.
