Hirving «Chucky» Lozano makes history with Napoli

Hirving «Chucky» Lozano makes history in Italy with Napoli by winning the Scudetto after a 33-year drought.

With five games remaining, Napoli was crowned champion of Serie A, something that had not happened since the 1989-1990 season (even with Maradona on the team).

The Mexican player became a reference for the team and a man of confidence for coach Luciano Spalletti to achieve the third «Scudetto» in Napoli’s history, besides becoming the first «Aztec» player to be champion of Serie A in Italy.

Lozano has played in 30 games for Napoli this season, scoring three goals and assisting three, taking on a more defensive role under the orders of coach Spalletti.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of the beautiful city of Naples to celebrate his third «Scudetto», so the city turned into a huge party.

Historic Chucky!

Saúl «Canelo» Álvarez beat British John Ryder in Guadalajara

Mexican boxer Saúl «Canelo» Álvarez returned to fight in his homeland (Jalisco) after 12 years. He did it against British John Ryder at the Akron Stadium in front of more than 50,000 people.

Canelo, who had just lost his last fight against Russian Dmitry Bivol a year ago, needed to regain his confidence in the ring, and what better place than in his homeland and with his people supporting him?

Despite knocking Ryder down and breaking his nose, Álvarez failed to knock him out and got the win by unanimous decision, with scores of 120-107 on one card and 118-109 on the other two.

«In all the years I’ve been boxing, this is the first time I’ve ever had my nose broken,» stated John Ryder.

«I hit him in the head a lot and he wouldn’t go down. Everything gets complicated because normally everyone wants to give before me the fight of their lives,» said «Canelo.»

Undoubtedly, it was a great boxing fight in such a great scenario as the Akron Stadium, with a spectacular atmosphere, that only Mexico knows how to do.

Canelo is the champion again!

Red Bull Racing conquers Miami

Red Bull Racing took the Grand Prix of Miami and moves away from everyone else in the constructors’ world championship.

Reigning two-time world champion Max Verstappen managed to win the race after starting ninth on the grid, while «Checo,» despite getting the «Pole Position» in qualifying, could not beat his teammate and took second place on American soil, which meant 1 and 2 for Red Bull Racing at the Grand Prix of Miami. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso completed the podium group with a valuable third place.

The fight between the Red Bulls for the drivers’ world championship is quite close. Max Verstappen leads with 119 points, followed by Sergio Perez with 105, Fernando Alonso well below the fight with 75, and Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz below with 56 and 44 points respectively.

While in the constructors’ world championship, Red Bull has the big lead with 210 points, followed by Aston Martin with 98, and Mercedes with 89 points.
