Kansas City Chiefs, Super Bowl LVII Champions

Super Bowl LVII crowned the Kansas City Chiefs as NFL champions at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

By a score of 38-35, Mahomes’ Chiefs took the victory over the Philadelphia Eagles to win their third Super Bowl in their history.

The Eagles dominated the beginning of the game, reaching halftime with a score of 24 to 14 in their favor. But it was at the beginning of the third quarter when the Chiefs took the lead and closed the gap (24-21). A field goal by the Eagles put them a little further behind (27-21), but two consecutive touchdowns at the end of the third quarter put Kansas ahead (27-35). The Eagles tied the game with another touchdown (35-35).

The Chiefs used the clock to their advantage, scoring the decisive field goal that gave them the victory by a tight score of 38-35.

Kansas’ star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, was awarded MVP (Most Value Player) of the game and of the season, after winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career at only 27 years of age. For many, he was Tom Brady’s replacement.

Unforgettable Super Bowl!

Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show

Nine-time Grammy Award winning artist Rihanna lit up the Super Bowl LVII halftime show.

After seven years of inactivity, Rihanna is back on stage with her appearance at the famous Super Bowl halftime show, where she performed her greatest hits such as Umbrella, Diamonds, Work, We found Love, and Wild Thoughts, among others.

Dressed in red and by distinguished designer brands, the singer shocked everyone at the show. But what surprised the audience the most was the singer’s appearance, as she confirmed to everyone that she is pregnant with her second baby.

Expectations were high, and for many the Barbados singer did not disappoint with her iconic halftime show at the Super Bowl 2023.

What a show they gave us!

The Mexican National Soccer Team Has a New Coach

At a press conference held at the facilities of the Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF), the former soccer player and current Argentinean technical director, Diego Martin Cocca, was presented as the new technical director of the Mexican National Soccer Team.

Diego Cocca, who served as coach of Tigres de la UANL, was dismissed from the Nuevo León club after accepting the position of head coach of the Mexican national team. The Argentinean did not consult with the club about his integration to the national team, so the Tigres board decided to terminate his contract.

His first commitments in 2023 are the Gold Cup and the CONCACAF Nations League, which he will have to win if he is to gain the trust of the Mexican fans.

«I feel happy, proud, and privileged to be the coach of the Mexican national team; it’s not just any old thing,» said the Argentinean at a press conference after his presentation at the FMF.

Diego Cocca, who achieved a two-time championship with Atlas, knows about Mexican soccer and players, and now he will be in charge of making history in the Mexican national soccer team and not repeating the same failures every four years.

Let’s hope that with Diego Cocca there will truly be a change in the national team and that the most loyal fans of all, the tricolor, will regain confidence.

Real Madrid, World Champion

Real Madrid was crowned champion of the Club World Cup after beating Al Hilal Saudi 5-3 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

After winning without any problem in the semifinals against Al-Ahly, by a score of 4-1, it was time to face Al Hilal, who reached the final after defeating the champion of America, Flamengo, 3-2 in the semifinals.

With braces from Vinicius Jr. and Federico Valverde and a goal from Karim Benzema, the team coached by Carlo Ancelotti was crowned world champion in Morocco, with a score of 5-3, in a match in which the European champions were far superior.

This is Real Madrid’s eighth World Cup, including the Intercontinental Cup (3) and the Club World Cup (5), making it the most successful team in the competition. In addition, this title was the 100th in the history of the «merengue» team, which makes it even more special.

The white team returns to Spain to fight for La Liga against FC Barcelona and defend the title in the Champions League.

Hala Madrid! and nothing more…
