The Six Pack Of News

Reyes Magos

In Mexico, the tradition of the Rosca de Reyes began in the Viceroyalty. During that time, whoever found the doll in the Three King’s bread had to dress the baby Jesus and present it to the church on February 2, which is Candlemas Day, in addition to having a party with tamales and atole. The custom of Three Kings Day on January 6 consists of the children laboriously writing a letter to ask Melchior, Gaspar, and Baltazar for the toys they would like to receive. In San Miguel we expect the traditional celebration in the Main Garden with a parade, distribution of toys, tamales, and atole for all the attendees of this celebration.
