Agreements Reached at the Summit
The presidents of Mexico and the United States, and the Prime Minister of Canada pledged during the X Summit of North American Leaders to strengthen the security, prosperity, sustainability, and integration of the region through six criteria: diversity, equity and inclusion, climate change and environment, competitiveness, migration and development, health, and regional security. On the other hand, the controversies between the three countries in energy matters were left aside in addition to the differences that the United States and Mexico have in relation to transgenic corn.

Juan José Álvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, presented members of the Board of Directors and directors of the Public Library of San Miguel de Allende, A.C. with the Vive Grandes Historias Book Collection an intellectual production that addresses the history of Guanajuato. Library users can now consult a collaborative production between the government, academics, and intellectuals who captured Guanajuato’s past and present tourism in four productions: “San Miguel de Allende in the eyes of Arturo Suárez;” “Camino Real Tierra Adentro through Guanajuato;” ”Viñas y Bodegas de Guanajuato, Land of Wines;” and «The Secret Route of Mezcal.”
254 Years After the Birth of General Ignacio de Allende
Honoring his memory 254 years after his birth, this week the Municipal Government is preparing a tribute to Generalissimo Don Ignacio de Allende y Unzaga. There will be a civic act, parade, and concert. Through a cultural program headed by the Directorate of Culture and Traditions, follow the events that celebrate the son of this World Heritage City with representative, civic, and artistic activities that exalt the life of the Lieutenant Colonel of the Insurgent Army who contributed his fortitude and military strategy to birth the War of Independence. Numu Boutique Hotel
This hotel, which is part of the Unbound Collection By Hyatt, will officially open its doors this January. The hotel is located on Nemesio Diez and will have a total of 44 rooms, two restaurants, a bar or lounge, a spa, and an outdoor pool. This project is one of the 31 hotels to be opened by this brand since 2022 in Zambra, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, in Mijas, Spain (formerly Hotel Byblos); Fuji Speedway Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection of the Hyatt brand; and in Oyama, Japan, Grand Resort Qingchengshan, among others located mainly in Europe and Asia.
The State Government Promotes More Works and Actions in Dolores Hidalgo
In recent days, the Governor of the State of Guanajuato delivered 36 forage mills and 450 bales of corn stubble to the cattle producers of Dolores Hidalgo with an investment of almost 500,000 pesos for the mills and 339,000 pesos for the acquisition of the bales which makes it possible to achieve important objectives for livestock production totals and the benefit of 113 livestock producers. In his work tour of the neighboring city, he also started the infrastructure and modernization work of the La Venta community square with an investment of 6,000,000 pesos to give a new image to this historically important community.
Beware of Shoulder Surfing in Guanajuato
The State Government issues a recommendation to protect personal data. Entering banking application passwords in spaces such as public transport or shopping malls has become a risk, as criminals take advantage of crowded places to observe people and try to steal their personal data, warns the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data, INAI. The practice known as shoulder surfing or looking over the shoulder is a technique used by attackers to obtain information from one or more people while they are on their mobile or computer equipment.
