Cleaning days in the Main Garden
Cleaning days were held in the Main Square and central streets after Carnival. There was synergy between the municipal team of Limpia and the vendors to maintain our World Heritage City in optimal condition. During this time, the night crew of 80 people from the Department of Public Services and Quality of Life participated. They were divided into cleaners and pipe workers, as well as 92 merchants, with more than 1.2 tons of garbage collected. Thank you for the great work that the Limpia team does and for keeping our streets always clean!
Presentation of the Book “Teachers” – The Ones I Can’t Forget
After four decades of covering wars, revolutions, and natural disasters taking on warlords and mass murderers—award-winning journalist Martin Fletcher learned about peace from the most unlikely place. It came from ordinary people he met on the worst days. Candid and inspiring, the book “Teachers” shares the little stories that lead to the best lessons. Fletcher’s career as a war correspondent helped him face his own family tragedy and taught him gratitude and resilience. That it is possible, and necessary, to accept and move on. The book presentation will take place this Saturday, the 11th, at 4pm at the Biblioteca Publica. Buy your tickets at: https://teatrosantaana.org/…/teachers-the-ones-i-cant…/ or directly at the Theater box office.
