Procession of the Lord of the Column
Every year the procession of the Lord of the Column takes place, a tradition that dates back to 1823, when the people brought the statue from the Sanctuary of Atotonilco to San Miguel as an offering of prayer when an epidemic was plaguing the town. The story is that the epidemic then ended. The Brotherhood of the Lord of the Column has confirmed that the statue will depart the Sanctuary of Atotonilco on March 25 at midnight and is scheduled to reach Independencia Avenue at 6 am in route to San Juan de Dios church. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the «Traída del Señor de la Columna.»

Instruction to Look Inward
“Instructivo Para Mirar Hacia Adentro” (Instruction to Look Inward) is presented at the Sindicato.
