This December 15, the Great Posada will take place in San Miguel de Allende, an event that seeks to share these traditions to the community in a fun-filled event, with Mexican food and traditional drinks, live entertainment that includes live Christmas songs, the presentation of a pastorela which is a type of staging that originated to represent the challenges that people must overcome to reach the birthplace of the baby Jesus in a comical way and sometimes with social and political satire. In addition, this event seeks to support young San Miguel residents of the collectives Coyote Urbano and Sororas y Rebeldes, who are dedicated to creating positive communities for young people in vulnerable situations.
