Hotel Amatte offers us a great option when it comes to food and drinks.
Aruma SkyBar is the perfect place if you want to try unique cocktails. Some of them baptized with Mexican themes and references such as Viva la Vida with watermelon, mezcal, and chile, or Mayahuel, also based on mezcal. Every Wednesday they have a 2×1 cocktail special, “Cocktail Fever”, so you can try their cocktails. On the last Thursday of every month, they offer Las Aruma Nights, where you can try their signature cocktails and good music.
Hacmans Restaurant offers a wide variety of first-class food. Recently they have worked on expanding the menu, taking into account customer feedback. A wider menu for all tastes. By 2023 they will have new dishes that guarantee an unforgettable dining experience. Hacmans Restaurant has positioned itself as a favorite among locals and tourists visiting San Miguel de Allende—connoisseurs of good dishes and good drinks.
I highly recommend ordering several appetizers for the center of the table and of course the main courses, all wood-fired, meats (from Sonora) and seafood (from Baja California) to share. You can’t miss the house hamburger which is a real experience! And of course, the delicious desserts they offer such as the plantain and semi-sweet chocolate pudding, or the roasted corn presented in cream with sweet accents.
I highly recommend the Pairing Menu which consists of five courses and five wines that achieve a perfect blend of flavors. This menu is designed to enhance the ingredients with exquisite wines.
At Hacmans, every Tuesday is “Bring your Wine”, meaning that you can bring the bottle of wine of your choice, and without paying corkage you can enjoy it on the incredible terrace and accompany it with some of the dishes they offer. Great option for locals!
And on Sundays you can’t miss the Brunch, from 8am to 2pm. You can enjoy a buffet bar with oysters, ceviches, aguachiles, barbecue tacos, pork belly, fruit, bread, gorditas, tacos, and quesadillas prepared on the spot accompanied by main courses. The price of the Brunch includes unlimited mimosas as well as juices, coffee,s and teas. You don’t need a reservation. They will always welcome you with open arms.
For the night of December 31, they are organizing a fun party where the ticket includes a five-course menu, open bar, live music, and special New Year’s Eve show. The dress code will be black and white with a mask. If you book before December 26, there is a pre-sale with a special price with a 25% discount.
