The Chamber Music Festival is back in San Miguel de Allende after two years of absence due to the pandemic.
It is one of the most important chamber music gatherings held in our country and this year exceeds
forty editions. It was born “under the direction of Carmen Massip de Hawkins, a dedicated group of music lovers established the tradition of presenting chamber musicians of the highest international level in San Miguel de Allende”.
Since then, more than 100 bands and soloists from all continents have performed. The objective of the festival, in addition to dissemination, is education. More than 1,000 young musicians have participated in workshops and master classes given by the Festival’s quartet-in-residence and by the guest musicians themselves.
